ACACIA ENVIRONMENT

ACACIA undertakes ecological consultancy and contributes to ecological management planning on a contract basis. We specialise in invertebrate conservation, particularly spiders. Our clients include English Nature (Oxleas Wood), Corporation of London (Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood etc), Royal Parks (Richmond Park, Hyde Park etc.), has resulted in scientific papers in London Naturalist, Glasgow Naturalist etc. Spider work has included finding a species new to science in a north London wood (Porrhomma cambridgei), a species new to Britain in north London (Coleosoma blanda), and other species new to science in the Azores, Portugal, Socotra, East Africa and Thailand where one recently described species named Thaiphantes milneri.
